#14 - Nice-ness & Not So Nice-ness.

And so I thought I'd just post a post [post a post, HAH!] about myself and what happened today and what happened lately and yadda yadda blahbitty blah. Like what other people are doing. So of course this shall have no pretty colors and different sized text.

What happened lately: Cempaka Voices In Concert. Which, I must mention. NOBODY TOOK THE TIME TO GO TO, and for that I hate you all. But the good thing was, we sang the awesomest songs ever. Like Eleanor Rigby and Tequila Samba. And the best most awesomest song? ICE KACANG!!! Which will, hopefully, be resung during Commomwealth Day, so we get one more time to sing it. =)

What happened today: ....Tennis.

What happened to myself: I started freaking out because 

a) We have EXAMS NEXT NEXT WEEK and we have to study *breath* Bio Chem Physics Sejarah Maths Add Maths English BM Moral. And our exams are....8 days long....Oh, I could commit suicide. Right now.

b) I can't play tennis. Why on earth am I playing tennis? What am I doing? What on earth was wrong with me? How on earth did I pick up the stupid pen to sign up for Seladang tennis? What on earth possessed me to sign up? I can't play TENNIS. I'LL BE EMBARRASSING MYSELF DURING GAMES CARNIVAL, look for the seladang in green turning bright red from shyness and tennis court-fright. The one who will disappear in a cloud of smoke when Sandra looks at her in the eye. Or just look for the one sneaking away from all the matches. Yes, that would be me.

c) I have 23 things on my to-do list which I haven't done yet. And 23 is a very big number for a to-do list. Why do I have so many things to dooooo!??! Like..PRACTICE TENNIS??

d) I have just realized that I'm going to get probates....and be mean to them....and memorize my rules so that they're at the tips of my fingers [again.] and nurture them and tie ties on them and oh, all those prefecty probatey stuff. 

e) Did I mention we have exams? In two weeks? 

f) *GASP* EXAMS!!!!

Well. If you really want to know. Everything besides US WINNING, I repeat, SELADANG WINNING was pretty boring. So. It shall be listed in point form. Because its boring. And SELADANG WINNING was not boring. So it can take up another section later.

Mwahahahehehehahahaheheh.

1. Our swimming booth sales sucked. Too little demand and too much supply. So everyone could have gotten like free nasi lemak, bee hoon and fried rice if they had waited til about 12 o clock. X )

2. My MCing was funny. I kept running from the MC stand to the Seladang cheering place [WE WON!!!!!] and back to the MC stand and all the sports teachers and other people were like laughing at me saying, 

"Alexis. You can't be bias. You're the MC SO YOU CAN'T BE BIAS.  Hehe. XD" 

And I was like OMG NO I HAVE TO BE BIAS JUST THIS ONCE COME ON PLEASE PLEASE so I still did it anyway. And it was really funny. I kept jumping over the teacher's feet. Cus she was supposed to stand there, you know. I think she was a judge or First aid person or something. So everytime I ran I had to make her move and by the fifth time I did it I just ran and jumped over her feet. She was laughing at me to but I didn't care CAUSE WE WON HAHA.

3. I was cheering with a sore throat and it didn't hurt at ALL =)

4. I ditched everyone at my booth. =)

5. I saw Kaylyn Swim haha. XD It wasn't so bad.

6. WHEN it came to announcing the results, Amalina told me that when Seladang had a place in first/second/third/fourth I was "So semangated when you announce la. Then when it was the other houses I was like ........" 

7. When Dr. Rizal said Harimau second then we were like

#12 - Living & Loving [it. =)]

Happy post!! This is a happy post!! =) What. Were you expecting an emo post?? From ME? Pshawwww. [Actually I HAVE done emo posts elsewhere before. But this is a happy blog. XD]

Hahahah. This is a happy post because my dad just sent me an email which made me laugh until I cried like nonsense. [My dad was laughing too.] So I'm going to share this funny email with you. (The purpose of the email was to make the people who were sad from the economic crisis happy. It WORKED. XD)

What The REAL Crisis Is Like

After the collapse of the Agriculture sector in Zimbabwe 2000, the inflation in the country skyrocketed to 231 million percent A YEAR. 231 000 000 % !!! Unemployment went up to80% and a third of the country's population left it. XD

Here's a boy getting change....in 200 000 dollar notes!!!

One 200 000 dollar note = less than $0.10 cents.

December 22nd: a new note of 500 000 dollars introduced. XD

Next. 750 000 dollars.

January. 10 million dollar note!

The US $ 10 dollar note is worth 10 times more than 10 000 000 Zimbabwe dollars. XD

This boy is just going shopping. XD

A case worth 65 billion Zimbabwe Dollars. It's equal to $2000 dollars. 

This guy is going to the supermarket too. The exchange rate is 25 million Zimbabwe dollars for 1 USD.

This mountain of cash is worth $100!!!

50 million note is then introduced.

then of course, 250 million. XD

Finally,

Three eggs. Of course.

And the bills in restaurants?

Paid in cash. XD

This cash.

In August, the government devalued the notes and removed 10 zeroes from each note.

Still, inflation kept going up.

With these amount of notes, you can buy

Four tomatoes.

Bread.

AND THEN,

It started again. 20 000 notes in December. XD

50 000 a couple of weeks ago!!

They've got a pretty good chance of hitting billion dollar notes again by the end of this year. 

And you say YOU have a financial crisis?

HAHAHAHAHA no way.

#9 - Interesting & Ingenious

And what is interesting and ingenious? BLOKUS!!! Yes. Yes it is. 

You gotta love this game. Its fun, simple and addictive [as many people have discovered during the Think.Con last last week.]

And they've come up with new versions of this fabulous game. Blokus 3D, blokus two-player, etc etc. 

So this is another birthday hint. People!! I want a blokus set for my birthday!!! [Okay, okay. I know I want lots of things. But you can just buy me one of the things I want each year. That's not too bad!] 

Blokus is good. Blokus is great. Everyone play blokus and make world peace!!

Or not.

But whatever. Blokus is ingenious. It's a fantastic idea for such a simple and easy to learn/play game. I could probably play blokus for hours. Could being the operative word as I do not have a set of Blokus. =)

Sooo. The guy who made Blokus? Bernard Tavitian?? He's a genius. Frenchman genius. Master degree in Mathematics genius. Engineering Degree genius. Doctorate in Biophysics genius. 

Okay. So he's a super-genius.

AND HE'S ONLY 48!! Come on people. By now we should all be mini-geniuses.

#8 - Hydrogen & Helium

HELIUM!!! I like helium.  I've heard people who have been helium-mized before.

( But I've never tried it although I would love to. HINT PEOPLE!!! Bring helium for my birthday and have fun singing Alvin and The Chipmunks with me!!!)

And it makes balloons float. YAY!! Ballooooons. But then we can't play the fun game where the Balloon-Must-Not-Touch-The-Ground. 

Hydrogen makes things explode and burn. Oooo. Sounds good?

How late am I in wishing you all Happy New Year?? Five days late???

Oh wellll. Better late than never at all. Usually for me its never at all. Because I tend to forget these things. =)

Soooo. My sister's an ox. And it's ox year. Which hopefully means that she will be wonderfully super positively lucky and that some of her luckiness will rub off on me by transfer. Which means I will be only slightly lucky, but lucky nonetheless. Which is definitely good enough.
